Complete Team Guide
Jordan have qualified for a World Cup for the first time in their history after decades of near-misses and a 2023 Asian Cup campaign that took them all the way to the final against hosts Qatar. Coach Jamal Sellami, a Moroccan manager signed in June 2024, secured qualification from AFC Group B. Musa Al-Taamari — who moved to Stade Rennais from Montpellier in February 2025 for nearly €9 million and became the first Jordanian to score in Ligue 1 — wears the number ten. Yazan Al-Naimat, the hero of the Asian Cup semi-final win over South Korea, is absent through injury. Group J: Argentina, Algeria, Austria. Jordan open on June 16 against Austria at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.

Road to 2026
Jordan produced one of the qualification cycle's standout stories. FIFA's official qualified-teams tracker says the Nashama secured their first-ever World Cup place with a 3-0 win away to Oman on 5 June 2025. That result transformed a growing regional team into a history-making one, and it changed the scale of what Jordanian football can now believe is possible.
